Privacy policy

Last updated 2 November 2026

Mostly Mountain (mostlymountain.com) is a travel guide to Kyrgyzstan run by Jeff Stony. The short version: we don’t run accounts, forms, analytics or ad trackers. Some pages load photos from Instagram and maps from OpenStreetMap, and those services see your visit.

What we collect

Only what you send us. If you email hello@mostlymountain.com, we keep your address and message so we can reply, and delete them when you ask.

There are no sign-ups, comments, newsletter or analytics on the site. If we add any of these, we’ll update this page first.

Services that see your visit

Fonts are served from our own domain, so loading a page doesn’t contact Google Fonts. Links to Google Maps and other sites take you to services with their own privacy policies.

Cookies

We don’t set any cookies ourselves. Cloudflare and Instagram may set theirs, as described above. If you block third-party cookies in your browser, the site still works, though Instagram photos may show as plain links.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including the EU and UK, you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, which in practice means emails you’ve sent us. Contact us to do that. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The site isn’t aimed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

When the way the site handles data changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
